Dr Ayman Chehnah
Dr. Ayman Chehnah practices in both Melbourne Australia and Doha Qatar, currently works in the areas of preventative health, pain management and TemporoMandibular Dysfunction (TMD).
He has been interested in the areas of general health, with a focus on holistic dentistry and orthodontics, dento-facial orthopedic & functional appliances, Myobrace treatment, TMJ pain management & sleep therapy, implantology, full mouth reconstruction, Myofunctional therapy and General Dentistry.
Dr. Ayman received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (Masters of Science Msc) in 1987. After that, he underwent an additional three years of advance graduate training to become an expert in the field of Orthodontics by completing his Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Subject Orthodontics in 1990, both received from the University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania. After he arrived to Australia, he completed Australian Dental Council (A.D.C) in 1993.
He works in different private and public clinics, and then he founded Preston Holistic Dental Group in 1996.
He is a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), International Academy for Orthodontics (IAAO), and a registered Orthodontist in Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP).
Dr. Ayman follows a non-invasive dental treatment approach and early Orthodontic treatment focusing on TMD, interrelated conditions of malocclusion and sleep disordered breathing using functional appliance therapy. His 29 years of experience have shown him that problems such as underdeveloped pre-maxilla and jaw positions can relate to breathing obstructions, TMD, migraines and headaches and chronic postural-related back problems.
Since opening Preston Dental Group in 1996, Dr Ayman has been providing the community with the highest standards of dental care. He is a warm-natured, honest and caring dentist who believes that friendliness, knowledge and being a good listener are the most important aspects of his work.
Originally from Syria, Dr Ayman balances his busy practice with home life in the northern suburbs, where he and his wife are raising their 6 children. He especially enjoys swimming, Aikido and skiing.
